Glendale Youth Strong Showing @ Supporting National Champs Racing

VC Glendale youth riders had a great day out at carryduff today with a very strong showing in all the supporting events at the National All Ireland Youth Championships for U14 and U16 riders. We didn't field any riders in the main events but we have plenty of potential coming up in the younger categories first up to the start line in the U6 race race and her first race on a pedal cycle was Fiadh Doherty following in her sisters footsteps

Next up in the Under 8 Category was young Corran Mc Court and Aoife Craig who battled their way around a tough windy circuit to finish the 3rd and Fifth from a large field of riders with Aoife also taking 1st place in the U8 girls event

Last of the Glendale riders to compete was seasoned Veteran in the U12 category Harry Hobbs who battled the tough conditions to finish a great 5th place only 20 seconds of the podium a great result for all the riders considering the huge gap between the close of the cross league and these races something that really needs addressed to keep the kids interested well done to all our youth riders hopefully see many more next season take part in the cross series full results and report can be found HERE.
